We’re Here to Stay.
Letra:
Welcome to the Product Management Festival,
Five hundred product people, that’s respectable.
We’re here to talk value, but let’s be real for a sec,
Half of us still argue what PM even is, yet.
Fifteen years drawin’ lines in the sand,
“Not a project manager, you don’t understand!”
We built the brand, we fought the confusion,
Then AI drops in like, “End of illusion.”
Now I’m prompt-engineering my OKRs,
Feeding ChatGPT my memoirs.
It writes roadmaps tighter than my own plan,
But still says “maybe” like a true PM.
Corporate said “innovate,” but cut the spend,
Asked for “bold,” then changed the trend.
Alignment sessions every day,
Feels like we’re sprinting but no one’s on the way.
Slack threads burn while decisions stall,
Ten approvals just to ship one call.
I pitch outcomes, they count outputs,
We rename chaos to “cross-functional loops.”
Vision decks stacked to the moon,
Budgets gone by afternoon.
We talk empowerment, act like command,
Still call it “agile” ain’t that grand?
But hey, beneath the madness there’s magic to see,
We translate chaos into strategy.
Keep the devs safe, make the vision clear,
Half therapist, half pioneer.
We fail, we pivot, we ship again,
We learn fast and pretend it was the plan.
And yeah, sometimes it actually lands,
Even if nobody understands.
Waterfall’s dead. Agile’s dead.
“Product’s dead!” , that’s what LinkedIn said.
Every two years we bury a trend,
And every damn year we rise again.
We ship through storms, we fight the doubt,
Find signal when the noise is loud.
We test, we tweak, we lose, we win,
And somehow we do it all again.
AI’s comin’, hype insane,
But we’re still the ones explainin’ the pain.
Kill the buzzwords, bury the gloom,
We’re still in the room, and we’re here to stay.
